| Camping Out Week at Habitot Children's Museum |
![]() |
(Berkeley, Ca) August 11-16, 2008— Families can make paper fish out of tissue paper, glitter and shiny materials, and use poles to go fishing in Lake Habitot. For those who love creepy-crawlies, there's the opportunity to design giant spiders and caterpillars, or admire a terrarium of live crickets. After designing their very own bird feeders from milk cartons, cardboard, and colorful materials, children will end an exciting day by listening to stories about the outdoors around a "campfire." About Habitot: More than 750,000 people have enjoyed interactive exhibits, art programs and classes since the museum's opening in 1998. Not just a place to entertain young children, Habitot provides resources and support for early childhood learning, parenting success, and community connection.
