(Berkeley, CA) January 23 and February 2, 2008

January 23, 2008 – Let It Snow Day
Make snow and conduct ice experiments in the Art Studio. Build an igloo and be a polar bear while wearing your own polar bear mask. Visit the snowstorm in the Wind Tunnel and enjoy a cool, tasty treat in the afternoon. Enjoy winter storytelling from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. This Free Admission Day lasts from 9:30am – 1:00pm and is generously sponsored by Wells Fargo.

February 2, 2008 - Groundhog Day
Celebrate the possible end of winter at Habitot Children's Museum. Make groundhog masks and puppets out of paper in the Art Studio, then put on a puppet show in our shadowbox theater. Visit our Dramatic Arts Studio and use face paint to transform your little ones into groundhogs and let them experience burrowing like a groundhog in our Wiggle Wall. Beginning crawlers can also get in on the fun in our InfantToddler Garden. Listen to storytelling from 12-1pm. Events take place all day 9:30am-4:30pm.

About Habitot:
Habitot Children's Museum is the East Bay's award-winning hands-on discovery museum for young children. Its mission is to nurture and enrich the lives of young children, their families, and the adults who care for them by providing an environment for early childhood learning and exploration, parenting education and community outreach. Habitot ensures its accessibility for all Bay Area families through its Family Outreach Program that brings more than 10,000 low-income and at-risk children into the museum every year through scholarships, subsidized memberships and free admissions days.

More than 600,000 people have enjoyed the museum's interactive exhibits, art programs and classes since its opening in 1998. Not just a place to entertain young children, Habitot provides resources and support for early childhood learning, parenting success, and community connection.
